PM Youth Laptop Scheme 2025: 100,000 Laptops to Be Distributed
The Government of Pakistan has officially launched Phase IV of the Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme 2025 under the leadership of PM Shehbaz Sharif, aiming to distribute 100,000 free laptops to deserving students across public universities. This includes students enrolled at Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU), ensuring even remote learners get access to modern digital tools.

Eligibility Criteria
You can apply if you:
- Are presently enrolled in a degree program at AIOU (BA, BS, MA, MSc, MPhil, PhD)
- Have a valid CNIC or B-Form
- Scored at least:
- 70% marks in your previous annual exam, OR
- 3.0 CGPA in the last semester
- Are not employed in any government or private job
- Not received a laptop in the last phases (I–III)
- Are you learning within the official program period (e.g., 4 years for BS)
Note: The 2.5% quota ensures a fair opportunity for distance learners. Always check your academic records before applying.
How to Register?
- Check Your Eligibility: Ensure marks/CGPA and program registration
- Gather Required Info:
- CNIC/B-Form number
- AIOU registration number and program name
- Academic performance details
- Active email and phone number
- Apply Online:
- Visit: laptop. pmyp.gov.pk.
- Click “Apply Now”, make an account using CNIC and contact information
- Fill out the application form with proper academic and personal information
- Submit the form before May 20, 2025
- Verification Process:
- AIOU will verify your data through HEC
- Follow your status at: laptop.pmyp.gov.pk → “Application Status”
Laptop Distribution Process
- If selected, you’ll receive an official SMS or email
- Laptops will be handed over at AIOU campuses or designated centers
- Physical presence is required to receive the device
Important: Use your own CNIC and phone number to avoid disqualification. No offline or postal applications are received.

- Maintain marks above 70% or a CGPA above 3.0
