The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has increased its support reach by including an additional 100,000 women in its welfare list. This recent update, shared by BISP Chairperson Senator Rubina Khalid, confirms that the total number of women now receiving financial help every three months has reached 9.8 million as of June 2025.

Skill Development for Families
In addition to financial aid, the Benazir Skills Programme has been introduced. It provides vocational training to selected family members of beneficiaries. The goal is to help them become financially independent through employment or small business opportunities.
Secure and Digital Payment System
BISP is also upgrading its payment method by introducing a digital banking model. With the help of six major banks, women will get biometric-verified bank accounts. This will ensure transparency and make it easier for them to receive their payments safely and respectfully.
Complaint and Help System
To ensure smooth operations, BISP has set up a grievance redress system. If a woman faces any issue such as unauthorized deduction or poor service at the payment centers, she can immediately report it. The program is committed to resolving these complaints quickly and fairly.
Who Can Apply?
To receive aid from BISP, the applicant must:
- Be a Pakistani woman from a low-income family
- Have a valid CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card)
- Not be a government employee or a regular taxpayer
- Be registered with the National Socio-Economic Registry (NSER) and meet the required poverty score
Interested women can visit the nearest BISP center with their CNIC, utility bill, and their children’s B-Forms to take part in the NSER dynamic survey and register.
