BISP Kafalat Program Announced Eidi on Eid-ul-Adha for Beneficiaries?
The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Pakistan’s largest social safety net, supports over 9 million families with financial aid to combat poverty. With Eid-ul-Adha 2025 approaching (June 7–9), there are many speculation on internet that BISP has announced a special “Eidi” payment—a traditional cash gift given during Eid. As of today, 2025, no official announcement confirms an Eidi payment for beneficiaries.
BISP June Payment Details
- Amount: PKR 13,500
- Payment Period: June 1 to June 30, 2025
- How to Collect the Payment:
- Through BISP Campsites using biometric verification
- At bank ATMs of HBL and Bank Alfalah
- From HBL Konnect retail shops in Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan
- From Bank Alfalah agents in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Jammu & Kashmir
Who is Eligible for the BISP Payment?
To receive payments, applicants must meet these criteria:
- Monthly household income is less than PKR 50,000
- Must hold a valid CNIC
- Not employed by any government department
- Must not be receiving help from other government welfare schemes
- Should not own large properties or vehicles
- Must have a Poverty Score (PMT) of 32–33
- Special cases: Women who are widowed or disabled individuals may be eligible even with slightly higher scores
- Transgender persons are eligible after registration with NADRA and meet relaxed criteria
Expected Increase in Future Payments
The federal government has proposed to raise the BISP quarterly payment to PKR 14,500 starting in January 2026, depending on approval in the 2025–26 federal budget.
