BISP Most Important Guidelines Announced by Officials

1. Eligibility Verification

  • Only individuals who have completed their National Socio-Economic Registry (NSER) survey are eligible.
  • Make sure your PMT score is within the required range (usually 0–32) to continue receiving support.
  • You can check your eligibility by sending your CNIC number to 8171 via SMS or visiting the official 8171 web portal.

2. Update Your Personal Information

  • If there is any change in your family status, number of children, income, or residence, immediately update your data at the nearest BISP Tehsil Office.
  • Providing incorrect or outdated information can result in disqualification from the program.

3. Use of BISP Debit Card / Payment Methods

  • Payments are made through BISP debit cards, bank accounts, or retail payment agents.
  • Only collect money from authorized BISP payment centers or agents such as Habib Bank, Bank Alfalah, and designated mobile banking agents.
  • Do not pay any agent a fee or bribe to receive your installment—payments are free of charge.

4. Payment Schedules

  • BISP releases installments quarterly (every three months).
  • Always check your payment status via SMS (8171) or visit a BISP helpdesk before going to collect the amount.
  • Don’t rush to centers without confirmation, as payments are made in phases.

5. Educational Support – Benazir Taleemi Wazaif

  • If your children are between 4 to 22 years of age, register them in Benazir Taleemi Wazaif to receive extra educational stipends.
  • Ensure their school attendance is 70% or more, or the stipend may be stopped.
  • Girls receive slightly higher stipends than boys to encourage female education.

6. Beware of Fraud Calls or Messages

  • BISP never asks for personal information via phone calls or random messages.
  • Do not respond to fake calls asking for CNIC, OTPs, or payments.
  • Report fraud to BISP’s official helpline: 0800-26477.

7. Visit Only Authorized Offices

  • For complaints, data correction, or surveys, go to the nearest BISP Tehsil Office or Ehsaas Center.
  • Do not trust individuals claiming to be BISP staff without valid ID.

8. Disqualification Conditions

  • If your PMT score increases beyond the threshold (e.g., 32) due to income or assets, you may be removed from the beneficiary list.
  • Receiving government employment, overseas remittances, or registering vehicles/land can lead to ineligibility.

9. Family Awareness

  • Ensure all adult family members are aware of BISP rules and guidelines to avoid misunderstandings or misuse.
  • Misuse of payments may result in permanent disqualification.
