BISP Nashonuma Program Check Status, How to Apply & Complete Details
The Benazir Nashonuma Program, is an initiative under the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), a critical effort by the Government of Pakistan to combat malnutrition and stunting among pregnant and lactating women (PLW) and children under two years of age.
Main Objective
The primary goal of the Benazir Nashonuma Program is to:
- Reduce stunting, wasting, and underweight conditions in children under two years.
- Improve maternal health during and after pregnancy.
- Encourage safe childbirth and healthy child development.
- Spread awareness about nutrition, breastfeeding, hygiene, and child immunization.
Program Reach (As of 2025)
- Operating in 157 districts across Pakistan.
- More than 850 Benazir Nashonuma Centers have been established.
- Over 1.5 million women and children have benefited so far.
- Implemented in partnership with the World Food Programme (WFP).
What Benefits Are Given?
Eligible women and children receive quarterly cash assistance as follows:
- Pregnant Women: PKR 2,000 per quarter
- Lactating Mothers: PKR 2,000 per quarter
- Children under 2 (Boys): PKR 2,000 per quarter
- Children under 2 (Girls): PKR 2,500 per quarter (incentivizing care for girls)
➤ This cash is transferred through biometric verification at BISP-designated payment centers or partner banks.
Who is Eligible?
- Women registered as BISP Kafaalat beneficiaries
- Must be pregnant or currently breastfeeding
- Have children under the age of two
- Must be willing to attend regular health center visits and nutritional awareness sessions
How to Register?
- Visit your nearest Benazir Nashonuma Center (usually set up at Tehsil or District Headquarters hospitals).
- Bring:
- Your original CNIC
- B-form or birth certificate for your child (if applicable)
- BISP Kafaalat registration proof
- Complete the medical screening and start receiving assistance every quarter.
