BISP Payment Increased – Latest Update 2025

The Government of Pakistan has announced a major increase in the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) payment. From August 2025, eligible families under the Benazir Kafalat Program will now receive Rs. 15,000 per installment, instead of the previous amount.

New Payment Amount

Previously, families under the BISP Kafalat Program were receiving payments between Rs. 9,000 to Rs. 12,000 per quarter. Now, under the new update in August 2025, the government has increased the payment to Rs. 15,000.

This increase comes as part of the government’s commitment to supporting underprivileged communities during times of economic hardship.

Why Has the Payment Increased?

  1. High Inflation
Food, fuel, and utility prices have gone up across the country. The government wants to help poor families manage their expenses.
  2. Public Demand
Many people were demanding an increase in financial support as their previous payments were not enough to cover basic needs.
  3. Welfare Budget Expanded
The government allocated more funds to BISP in the 2025-26 budget to support additional families and raise the payment amount.
