Breaking News! BISP Kafalat Program Payment Increased From 13,500 Rs. to 14,500 Rs.

The Government of Pakistan has announced a raise in the quarterly payment for beneficiaries of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Kafaalat program. Starting from July 2025, eligible families will now receive PKR 14,500 every three months, instead of the previous PKR 13,500.
This decision has been officially agreed upon with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and aims to help families tackle the increasing cost of living and inflation.
💰 BISP Budget Increased for Fiscal Year 2025–26
To make this increase possible, the government has allocated a total of PKR 716 billion for the BISP in the 2025–26 financial year. This is a 20% increase from last year’s budget of PKR 598 billion.
This budget expansion will not only cover the enhanced payments but will also allow more families to benefit from the program.
👨👩👧👦 More Families to Benefit from the Program
As part of the new plan, around 700,000 additional families will be added to the BISP Kafaalat program, taking the total number of supported families to 10 million.
This step is part of the government’s strategy to provide greater support to low-income households across Pakistan.
🔄 System Improvements with World Bank Support
To improve transparency and efficiency, the BISP team is working with the World Bank. This includes regular updates to the National Socio-Economic Registry (NSER) and reviewing the eligibility of families every three years, ensuring only truly deserving households remain part of the program.
