The Punjab Government has launched a new bike scheme to help students with their daily travel. Many students face problems while going from their homes or hostels to schools, colleges, and universities. To solve this, the government will give 20,000 bikes to students across the province.
What’s in the Scheme?
- Total Bikes: 20,000
- Petrol Bikes: 19,000
- Electric Bikes: 1,000
- Monthly Installment
- Only Rs. 1,000 per month
- Government Support
- The government will pay a part of the cost to reduce the price for students
- No Down Payment
- Students don’t need to pay a big amount at the start
- Loan Management
- The Bank of Punjab (BOP) will check payments
Who Can Apply?
To get a bike, a student must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be a current student at a school, college, or university.
- Have a learner’s permit or motorcycle license
- Girls and rural students will be given priority
