According to official sources, the Ministry of Interior will issue the formal holiday notification in the first week of June .

Eid ul Adha 2025 Holiday Schedule

If Eid falls on Monday (June 9, 2025) as predicted, the holidays will likely be as follows:

  • Saturday, June 7 – Weekly off
  • Sunday, June 8 – Weekly off
  • Monday, June 9 – Eid Day 1
  • Tuesday, June 10 – Eid Day 2
  • Wednesday, June 11 – Eid Day 3 (Optional/Govt Holiday)

This means government offices may remain closed from Saturday to Wednesday, giving employees a 5-day break, especially if Wednesday is officially declared as a public holiday. Private companies and educational institutions may observe 3 to 4 days off, depending on internal policies and provincial decisions.

Moon Sighting and Final Confirmation

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will meet on the evening of Saturday, June 7, to see the Zilhajj moon. If the moon is sighted on that day, Eid will be observed on Monday, and the final holiday schedule will be confirmed shortly after.
