NADRA Provides a Lifetime Smart CNIC for Organ Donors in Pakistan

NADRA has launched a special program for Pakistanis who choose to donate their organs to help others. According to an official announcement shared on NADRA’s social media platforms, individuals who register as organ donors will receive a lifetime Smart National Identity Card (CNIC). This special card will include a green indicator that marks the individual as a registered organ donor.
Who Can Apply?
Citizens aged 18 years or older can register as organ donors through the relevant authorities. Once registered, they can visit any NADRA office to obtain their exclusive Smart CNIC or NICOP (National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis), which will display the green donor mark.
How to Apply?
- Visit the closest NADRA center to apply for the donor CNIC.
- You can also use the Pak-ID mobile app to apply online for a Smart CNIC or NICOP with the organ donor symbol.
Additional Features
In a separate development, NADRA is now offering a non-chip-based CNIC that includes many features of the smart card, at a lower cost. This upgrade ensures that citizens can access enhanced services without paying high fees.
This move is part of NADRA’s ongoing efforts to promote organ donation and improve citizen services by making identification processes more efficient and affordable.
