NADRA’s Big Relief For Pakistani – First ID Card Now Free of Charge

Great news for people applying for their national ID card for the first time! NADRA has announced on its social media that the government is now offering a helpful service for the public.
Anyone applying for their first national identity card (non-smart chip) can now get it completely free of cost. NADRA says you just need to visit the nearest NADRA center, and if you apply within 15 days, there will be no fee at all.
For more information, you can visit NADRA’s official website at nadra.gov.pk.

New Features for Non-Chip ID Card Holders
NADRA has also introduced new features for people who already have non-chip ID cards. Now, you don’t need to switch to a smart chip card to enjoy modern services.
If you have a non-chip card, you can still renew, update, or reapply for it without upgrading to a smart card.
With the recent changes, non-chip ID cards will now include:
- Information in both English and Urdu
- A colored photo for better identity verification
- A QR code that allows users to access a digital version of their ID through the Pak-ID mobile app
These updates make the ID card system more user-friendly and accessible, especially for those who prefer to stick with their current non-chip cards.
